What's doing in the Bubble

This weekend we went to La Pena to hear Asheeba, a children's performer.  I said to my friend if her husband had come alone with their child we could have paid one admission - the family rate of $15 instead of $11 and then we both laughed and said we could have come in with one admission with one woman, two adult males & 2 children under the family plan.  Now that I think about it the whole audience could have come in under the family plan- a bargain @ $15 because it's Berkeley and we could all be family.  Too bad the performance was weak, the sound system pretty bad, he did not really realyy engage the kids (maybe it was too early for him.)  I think this is the first day/night club Ari has been to though.  Thanks Steve Brown for introducing us to the La Pena children's shows.  Why I'm posting this in this blog rather than my Ari blog is silly since this did not even take place in the 94610.

what I want to show in this blog is that one might read about how horrible and crime ridden Oakland is or be concened with Occupy Oakland, whereas so far we haven't been impacted by any of this at all - our life here is lovely, idyllic, fascinating, engaging full of great activities, friends, caring people who we are growng attached to.  I wonder who on earth votes for the numbskalls in office?
